Sustainability in Events

We believe that scientific progress and environmental responsibility go hand in hand, and advancing neuroscience should never come at the planet’s expense, which is why sustainability is embedded across our work, from venue selection and waste reduction to carbon reporting and community engagement.

Our commitment goes beyond intention. After each Festival of Neuroscience, we carry out a detailed carbon assessment and publish a sustainability report to measure our impact, strengthen accountability, and drive continuous improvement year on year.

The BNA hosted a webinar with the Organization for Human Brain Mapping demonstrating simple tools used to assess the carbon footprints of conferences, resources from which are also listed below.
