The BNA wishes to congratulate Professor Graham Collingridge (University of Toronto and at the University of Bristol, shown left) who was awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to Biomedical Sciences, and Dr Jane Haley (University of Edinburgh, right) who was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to Scientific Engagement and Education.
Graham and Jane are both long-standing affiliates of the BNA; Graham was the BNA President 2007-2009, and Jane has been the Local Group Representive for the BNA Edinburgh Group for many years, as well as winning the BNA Public Engagement Prize for Neuroscience in 2013.
The Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 recognises the outstanding achievements of people across the United Kingdom.
