Held every two years, the conference exists to strengthen the epilepsy research ecosystem by driving collaboration, sharing knowledge and raising the profile of epilepsy. By bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise, we can accelerate scientific discovery and radically advance research into epilepsy, helping to drive meaningful progress towards a future free from epilepsy.

We are delighted to welcome Helen Bateup, Associate Professor of Neurobiology at the University of California, Berkeley as one of our keynote speakers, who will share her expertise and insights on animal and human models of epilepsy.

Present your work at the Epilepsy Research Institute Conference 2027.

Taking place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre on 20–21 May 2027, the conference will bring together the epilepsy research community to share knowledge, forge new collaborations and accelerate scientific discovery, driving meaningful progress towards a future free from epilepsy.

Researchers from across the field are invited to showcase their work through an oral or poster presentation. Abstract submissions are open until Wednesday 2 December 2026.
