How to measure your society’s carbon footprint: a simple guide

Join us for this free webinar hosted by the British Neuroscience Association with the Organization for Human Brain Mapping Sustainability & Environment Action Group.

Many academic societies want to improve their environmental sustainability, but often aren’t sure how, or even where to start.

Before you can tackle your carbon footprint, you first need to understand where it is coming from, by measuring your society’s environmental impact.

In this webinar, we will give you the simple tools to do so.

Run by neuroscientists, for neuroscientists (but you don't have to be a neuroscientist!), this webinar will show that you don’t need to be a climate scientist, or even a scientist at all, to measure your society’s carbon emissions.

We will demo simple tools used by the British Neuroscience Association (UK), and Organization for Human Brain Mapping (international), to assess their carbon footprints, and at the end of the presentations, there will be a Q&A session, your opportunity to ask our experts about their sustainability projects.

You’ll take away a simple ‘how to’ guide for measuring your society’s carbon emissions.

This session is for society staff, society leaders, environmental chapters, and society members who want to assess their society’s environmental impact, with limited time and people-resource.
