Tissue clearing workshop ONLINE

Join the Tissue clearing workshop: Approaches to fundamentals

The online workshop took place on 30th September 2025, and brought together researchers to explore current advances in tissue clearing.

We are now delighted to present online access to the Tissue clearing workshop: Approaches to fundamentals

Over the last decade, we have seen an ever-increasing number of clearing protocols, leaving scientists wondering which method will be suitable for their samples and provide answers to their research questions.

This workshop, supported by Miltenyi Biotec offers a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tissue clearing and provides guidance on determining suitable approaches for clearing different types of samples.

Organiser: Dr Cristina Martinez Gonzalez
Instructors: Dr Cristina Martinez Gonzalez and Ms Kirsty Craigie.

Course content outline:

  • Why tissue clearing?
  • Types of clearing methods: hydrophobic, hydrophilic and hydrogel embedding.
  • Advantages, disadvantages, and suitability for samples.
  • Tissue processing steps and troubleshooting.
  • Microscopy for cleared tissue.

Learning outcomes for course attendees:

  • Understand the fundamental differences in clearing methods.
  • Determine the best clearing approach for your samples.
  • Troubleshooting common clearing problems.

The course content is 1 hours and 32 minutes.

Event Sponsor:
