Professor Vanessa Raymont is Associate Professor at the University of Oxford and Research & Development Director at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. An academic old age psychiatrist and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist, her research focuses on traumatic brain injury, memory disorders, dementia and clinical trials in cognitive impairment. She has extensive experience in clinical research in the UK and US and has led numerous dementia studies and clinical trials. Professor Raymont co-leads the READ-OUT study, investigating the potential of blood-based biomarkers to improve dementia diagnosis, and is Director of Dementias Platform UK. Her work focuses on translating research and innovation into improved diagnosis, treatment and care for people living with dementia.

Professor Craig Ritchie is CEO and Founder of Scottish Brain Sciences and Professor of Brain Health and Neurodegenerative Disease at the University of St Andrews. He is internationally recognised for his research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. His work focuses on identifying disease earlier and translating research into clinical practice, with a particular interest in brain health across the life course. Professor Ritchie has led major international research programmes, including the European Prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia (EPAD) programme, and has published extensively in the field.
