Stronger Connections. Greater Impact.

Coming Soon: The New BNA Member Directory
We’re excited to announce that the BNA Member Directory will be going live on 20th October 2025 – a brand-new feature designed to help our members connect, collaborate, and showcase the incredible breadth of neuroscience across the UK and beyond.
Why the Member Directory matters
The BNA Member Directory is a powerful way to bring our neuroscience community closer together. While the directory is visible only to members, it enables them to connect, collaborate, and share expertise across academia, industry, and clinical practice. By making it easier to find collaborators, explore joint projects, and support careers through mentorship, the directory strengthens the impact and reach of the BNA community. Members can also link to their social media profiles, making it easier to showcase their work, expand their professional network, and spark new opportunities.
The directory will make it easier than ever for members to:
- Facilitate connection & collaboration – find others with shared interests and complementary expertise.
- Build cross-sector links – connect with members across academia, industry, and clinical practice.
- Spark new opportunities – explore joint grant applications and research projects.
- Showcase expertise – highlight the diversity and reach of UK neuroscience.
- Support careers & mentorship – find mentors, mentees, and career guidance.
- Demonstrate impact – show funders, partners, and the public the strength of the BNA community.
For non-members, the directory highlights the tangible benefits of joining the BNA - a vibrant, connected neuroscience network that fosters collaboration, showcases expertise, and turns membership into real opportunities for professional growth and influence.
Example profiles
How it works
Existing BNA members will have a profile in the directory. Members control what information is visible, and how much (or how little) to share. Of course, more detail means it is easier for others to find and connect. Setting up your public profile is simple:
- Log in to your BNA account
- Go to “Manage my account” in your member dashboard.
- Go to “Edit public profile” in your member dashboard.
- Add or update your details – e.g. profile image, biography, research interests, current role and contact information.
- Remember to toggle on “Show” next to the information you want other members to see.
- Save changes – and “Publish” and you’re ready for the launch.
This PDF runs through the steps to create your profile in detail.
What’s next
We’re inviting all members to update their profiles now, so the directory is ready to shine from day one. Together, we can make the BNA Member Directory a valuable hub for connection, collaboration, and representation – and another powerful benefit BNA membership.
